Repurposed Sweaters to Diaper Covers

Jean from The Artful Parent made these super-cute cloth diaper covers from thrifted sweaters! I used cloth with both of mine, but the wool soakers were always a little too spendy for me. Repurposing sweaters is a wonderful alternative! Jean was very kind to link to the patterns and tutorials that she used, so go on over and be sure to read through the comments for a great discussion on the benefits of using wool to cover baby’s bottom!

Handmade Shopping List (6)

May 30, 2009

I’m way behind on my handmade shopping lists, but I didn’t want to let this one pass me by.

madejoonbug

Dana, from Made (you remember the shirt dress, don’t you?) has just reopened her shop where she sells a variety of hand-sewn baby gear and accessories. You must pop over and take a look! Her designs are fun, simple and downright GOR-geous!

Doesn’t this receiving blanket look so deliciously soft and luxurious? I think I’d like to curl up in it right alongside my baby! Plus, these blankets have stretch which makes them perfect for a nice, tight swaddle!

joonbugbabychocolateblanket

I also adore her hair clips. They’re so sweet and perfectly girly!

joonbugbabyhairclip

And she hasn’t left out the boys! Check out this cool camo pacifier clip!
