Homemade Toy Car Garage Inspiration
These safety cone car garages from One More Moore are brilliant! There are no instructions for making these, but I think with some orange felt and a little interfacing, a savvy sewer could whip one or two up quite easily. How to Recycle Old Crayons
I’m so glad Zakka Life created this tutorial for recycling crayons. I’m hoping to make some banana-shaped crayons to put in the goody bags at my daughter’s upcoming birthday (she’s turning 3 and requested a “banana” party) and this how-to will definitely come in handy. There are lots of great tips! Now I just need to find some banana candy molds….

DIY Mini-Theater Set
This little play theater from Katherine Marie Photography is totally adorable with all of it’s tiny details. I love how she used photos of her family members on the popsicle sticks, but you could also use images of favorite characters or animals as the puppets. Homemade Toddler Toy
My toddler hasn’t been interested in her lacing beads lately, and I think this activity might be a great way to add some novelty to her day! The Wonder Years shares how she created this toy for her daughter using items she had around the house. For more of a challenge, you could create separate cards and have your child stack the beads according to a given color sequence (a la this post)

Homemade Dino Fossils
I’ve been seeing alot of science going on around the web and it makes me so happy. I’m not exactly scientifically inclined, so I love finding ideas that that others have done that I can try out with my own kids. Recently, Roots and Wings Co. shared some fossil-making fun that they had at a birthday party. I can certainly see why this would be hit with kids of all ages. Flower Buttoning Activity
